BASANT - A LOST TRADITION
The purpose of this thesis is to inquire into the effect that the Basant celebration has on the people of Pakistan. As a celebration of the entrance of spring, Basant also known as the kite flying festival, is very dear to the hearts of Pakistanis. This cultural celebration brings together individuals of all walks of life and promotes tolerance and understanding. Basant's historical roots are explored. The festival's positive effects on tourists, local businesses, and community involvement are highlighted, as are the festival's cultural, social, and economic components. My work is to explore its history, customs and impact on communities to provide a deeper understanding of the joy it brings. The main motive of working on Basant is to revive and depict that lost essence that once existed in Pakistan by incorporating the vibe of spring and use of dorr that were a major part of that festival that are long lost in today's world to refresh the memories of Basant
